My favorite kits from Roland Garros '26

Happy summer slam season everyone! Roland Garros is one of my favorite slams to watch because watching tennis on clay is something else for sure. I love the tennis aspect of it, (well duh) but fashion has become a huge part of tennis, and the kits have been kitting this slam. (well, at least most of them) Brands like Nike, Vuori, ON, and New Balance have really upped their game, especially Nike, which has had some questionable kits in the past (and I am 100% talking about Jannik Sinner’s previous kits).

So today I'm covering my favorite kits for men's and women's at Roland Garros this year, and what fun would it be without categorizing them by tennis terms.

Double Bagel, Like These Did Not Miss 🥯

1. The Reigning Champ, Coco Gauff

This kit is literally EVERYTHING. It’s giving classy, elegance, but also everyday wear. As for the kit, the custom dress showcases a pleated skirt and mesh overlays in shades of grey, accented with pink. It is paired with a bold, asymmetric zip jacket, featuring zipper cuffs and shoulder pads. The shoes have gray, brown, but also pink blending together perfectly.

Something I really like about the entirety of the kit (because if you can’t tell I really really like this kit) is how well these colors blend together. They don’t feel forced, and the purple is the right shade of purple, not too dark but not too light, perfect for this surface. Weather-wise, the gray isn’t so dark that it would cause Coco to overheat because the weather is a little brutal.

When New Balance was asked about Coco’s kit, this is what they had to say.

“In close collaboration with Coco, we created a kit that merges Paris sophistication with high performance” said Julie Pike who is the New Balance Senior Vice President of Global Apparel. “The result is a design that celebrates her individuality and unique style, while giving her the confidence and performance features that she needs to compete at her best.”

Overall Rating: 50/10 I would 100% wear this in public (or in tennis terms 6-0, 6-0)

2. The World Number 1, Aryna Sabalenka

Nike’s choice for Aryna’s kit for Roland Garros this year was top tier. I personally am a huge fan of how the red and black blend together perfectly. The kit is a custom clay-ballet-inspired supersuit featuring a vibrant crimson-red sleeveless dress with a black sheer mesh overlay. She accessorized the bold red-and-black design with stackable diamond and garnet necklaces and statement stud earrings.

It's not super often we see female tennis players wearing literal carrot-shaped diamond and garnet necklaces. The confidence you have to have to wear that is insane, but it really adds something to the whole aesthetic of the outfit.

My only concern is the black because the weather in Paris, as mentioned before, is super hot, like 90s in May-type heat, but otherwise this kit is fire.

Overall Rating: 20/10 I need her jewelry collection (or in tennis terms 6-2, 6-0)

Saving Some Break Points 🎾

1. Men’s World Number 1, Jannik Sinner

Nike, I’m not gonna lie, this didn’t suck. Jannik is wearing an icy angelic blue NikeCourt Slam kit for the 2026 French Open. The collection features a signature single-button polo shirt and matching shorts with a graphic pattern designed to mimic the red clay dust of Roland Garros.

Can’t decide if I’m actually happy about it or if I’m just sighing with relief that it’s (inevitably probably) so much better than Luigi (his kit from last year) because that really just proved he’ll wear whatever he’s told to. 😭

Personally, Black would’ve been so much cooler cause dark Sinner is smth else, but this is neat too, and I think it looks really good on him.

Overall Rating: 9.1/10 pretty good for Nike (or in tennis terms 6-3, 6-4)

2. The Brazilian Teenager Joao Fonseca

ON Running has been rapidly coming into the tennis world and their kits have kinda impressed. João is wearing the Swiss performance apparel and footwear brand On. His clay-court kit for Roland-Garros features On’s signature breathable, moisture-wicking technical gear designed specifically for professional tennis, paired with THE ROGER Pro 3 Clay tennis shoes.

This kit is currently growing on me lowkey; I like how it starts from the top then fades into the shorts. ON typically has decent kits, especially with the tops that are seeming to grow on me, and I think they're so good with the white hat.

Overall Rating: 8.6/10 pretty good for On (or in tennis terms 6-3, 6-4)

3. The American Teen Iva Jovic

Ok, I lowkey like this even though it’s kinda basic it’s eating. Iva was wearing the official adidas Paris Collection designed for the clay-court season. The collection includes the adidas Paris Pro Dress as well as the adidas Paris Pro Crop Polo Tank paired with the Paris Match Pro Skirt.

The whole navy and white is really giving modern-day Paris vibes, and I really like the top she’s wearing. The polo tank is giving chic elegance while helping her stay cooler in the heat.

Overall Rating: 8.8/10 chic Paris wear (or in tennis terms 6-3, 6-4)

4. The American Learner Tien

Okay, before y’all say anything, I’m aware this is the most basic kit alive, but I actually like it so I don’t wanna hear anything. Learner is wearing pieces from the specialized Adidas Paris/Roland Garros 2026 Collection. The collection’s color theme for this clay season centers on premium shades of legend ink (deep navy), crisp white, and vibrant clay-inspired graphic patterns.

I think for me this basic part about it is why I love it so much: it is white, so you can see him on the court easily, and I keep mentioning the weather, but it's so brutal out there, so for him to be in lighter colors is a bonus. I love how simple it is, and the sleeve outlines are pretty solid for adidas

Round of 128 Exit Type Kits

1. The GOAT Himself Novak Djokovic

I personally need to speak to whoever designed this kit because whoever decided it was a good idea for him to wear a kit so he could blend into the clay idk what’s going through your mind. Novak’s kit designed by Lacoste, features a subdued rose-pale pink polo with contrasting orange shorts.

I hate everything about this. I hate the color of the polo; it’s like they can’t tell if they wanted very, very light orange or peachy pink. I hate the shorts because they are too light, and I guarantee if he were to lay on the court, you could not tell the difference between him and the court, and I just really hate this.

I would have preferred ANY other color literally cause this is super ugly. But to be fair, I’m beefing with Lacoste cause their stupid on-court ads are injuring players, so I guess I’m a little biased, but.

Overall Rating: 3/10 no, just no (or in tennis terms 6-0, 6-0 but you lost)

2. The Clay Queen Iga Świątek

Ok so I do not play about Iga so if her kit was ugly ON would have personally heard from me about it and since it’s ugly ON you will be hearing from me. Iga is wearing a custom on-court kit from her apparel sponsor, On, featuring a sleeveless, pastel lavender and white striped-patterned tank top. The design incorporates contrasting dark accents and a high-neck quarter-zip or sleeveless cut specifically tailored to offer unrestricted movement on the clay.

Iga has had some pretty awful kits back when she first signed with ON, so compared to this, it isn’t super bad, but it’s still really ugly. The shade of purple they used is one of the uglier shades of purple and just doesn’t look right on her, especially with the black.

I will say I am a huge HUGE fan of the shoes Iga is wearing: custom player-edition ON The Roger Pro tennis shoes, featuring colorways that quote literally perfectly matched to her apparel kits for the tournament. The only good thing about this kit.

Even though I hate it, I think ON can do better with her kits because with ASICS she had more variety in her kits.
